Electroville Limited
Electroville Limited was established in 2003, as a project of the Disabled People’s Electronic Village Hall to provide ICT hardware and software management services to the third sector. They became a fully independent social enterprise in July 2007.
The Dewsbury based organisation was set up to help the Voluntary and Community sector to make the most of the opportunities that Information Technology can offer them. Electroville offers a number of services throughout Yorkshire and the Humber including; training programmes, technical support and ICT planning and strategy workshops.
Electroville are now introducing a new web design service; providing advice on design, functionality, navigation and content. They will also train organisations so that they can look after and develop their site themselves. The Key Fund recently provided Electroville with a growth package of £30,000 to support the salary costs of a Deputy Chief Executive (Web Design), who will be responsible for establishing, developing and managing the Web Services Department.
It is intended that the web design service will be largely staffed by people recovering from long-term illnesses.
