Inclusion Housing Community Interest Company
Inclusion Housing Community Interest Company is a specialist housing provider based in York, and provides a specialist housing management and maintenance service to vulnerable people. The main support package to the tenants is normally provided by registered domiciliary care providers. Inclusion Housing also provides regular Housing Related Support to the tenants under a contract with the local authority Supporting People Team.
The organisation manages a range of properties that are owned, leased or managed under contract with local authorities and NHS PCT’s. These properties are rented to people with learning disabilities, mental ill-health, physical & sensory disabilities and acquired brain injuries. Inclusion Housing is also working in partnership with Chevin Housing Group to provide Shared Ownership options to people with learning disabilities in Yorkshire & Humberside.
In September 2008, Inclusion Housing approached the Key Fund to support with the growth of the company and an exciting new phase of development. The £10,000 grant and a loan of £69,765 is being used to support staffing costs for 6 months, office rental, the development of a website, the production of marketing materials, work placement costs and agency fees.
Inclusion Housing is hoping to expand their service throughout the UK.
