Rossington Development Trust Limited

Rossington Development Trust was set up in October 2002 to develop valuable community assets with the aim of promoting social engagement in Rossington.

The trust established a trading division in a partly-refurbished, derelict junior school building in Holmescarr. The Holmescarr Community Enterprise Centre provides training facilities, workspace and business support for community groups, social enterprises and other businesses.

With the centre in the final stages of a significant renovation project, Rossington Development Trust needed funding to enable minor refurbishments to be undertaken. In March 09, Key Fund Yorkshire supported Rossington Development Trust with a £10,000 grant and a £20,000 loan. The Key Fund money is also contributing towards staff costs, running costs and future marketing costs.

The completion of the centre’s refurbishment will enable additional tenants to move in; generating additional income for Rossington Development Trust.
